Allianz Insurance is pleased to announce the secondment of Mark Merrix to fraud manager.
Following his secondment, Mark will be primarily responsible for identifying and managing fraud risks across Allianz's Claims division. He will play a vital role in formulating a wider corporate anti-fraud strategy, implementing new initiatives which will protect customers from the impact of insurance fraud.
With this role, Mark will manage Allianz’s head office fraud operation as well as the performance of Allianz Claims Validation Teams and Organised Fraud Units located across a number of sites in the UK.
He will also extend his focus to both the technical and operational claims management across all lines of business and represent Allianz at a number of industry working groups. He will combine this role with his current responsibility of managing occupational disease.
Mark has worked at Allianz for over 23 years, progressing through the organisation. He has held a variety of technical and operational roles within the claims division and gained extensive knowledge of claims management across all lines of business.
Sarah Mallaby, head of technical claims, Allianz said:
“Mark has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable in leading our Fraud review. It is testament to the strength of our technical management team that we are able to flex our talented technical team to meet business opportunities”.
