Allianz appoints new head of data, claims

Andy Roberts, head of data, claims

Allianz Insurance has appointed Andy Roberts to the position of head of data, claims.

In his newly created role, Andy will lead a team of data experts to deliver insights, projects and solutions for the Claims team. He will also be responsible for developing the data and analytics strategy for claims utilising Allianz UK recent investment in advanced data capabilities.

Prior to joining Allianz Andy worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific, a US biotech company after previously working for IBM.

Allianz’s head of claims strategy and customer experience Margaret Scott said:

“I am really pleased to welcome Andy to this newly created role. This helps to demonstrate our ambition to become a digital by default business by harnessing our data to improve our overall customer experience.
