Allianz has announced that Keith Culling, regional manager for London, will retire from the business on 8 July 2016 after nine years.

He will be replaced by Helen Bryant, who has been promoted to the position of regional manager for London, Central & East, effective from 1 July. She moves from her current position as regional manager for Central & East, having joined Allianz in 2001 and worked in a number of key management roles.

Andrew Broughton, director of broker markets, Allianz Commercial, commented: “Keith has been integral to the success of our Commercial business in the London market over the past decade. We have gone from strength to strength in this very important region, and Keith’s leadership has no doubt played a key part in this. I would like to thank him for his fantastic contribution.”

He continued: “I’m very pleased that Helen has been promoted internally, which is a testament to the existing talent within our business. She has a proven track record of success within Allianz and I am looking forward to the vast amount of expertise that she will bring to her new role.”

Allianz has also appointed Alan Thorpe to the position of head of London property markets, with effect from 1 August. He joins the business from Zurich Insurance, where he has worked since 2005 and most recently held the position of head of trading, real estate, London.

Andrew commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Alan to Allianz. He is very well established in the industry, particularly within the real estate sector and he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of the market.”
